FOUNDATION CLASSES

Basic Manners and Obedience - A great class for dog owners who wish to develop their training skills. You will learn to communicate and develop a working relationship with your dog. Dogs will learn to develop patience, manners, and basic obedience skills: come, sit, down, stay, walking on a leash, leave-it, take-it, and looking to you for direction. Common dog behaviors such as jumping, pulling on leash, chewing, barking, digging and unruly behavior are addressed as well . Starts Sun 2/4 11am -5 weeks $130 |
Puppy Kindergarten - A fun-filled class for puppies and their owners! This class provides a chance to socialize and play with other puppies, learn about caring for your puppy, and understanding how they learn. Emphasis is on socialization, learning to communicate, and developing a working relationship with your puppy. Basic obedience, including: come, sit, down, wait, leave-it, take-it, drop-it, walking on loose leash, and looking to you for direction, are covered. House training, nipping, jumping and other puppy behaviors are discussed on an ongoing basis. Pups 8-20 weeks old or under 50# at start of class, up to date on shots and been in home for at least 10 days. Ongoing enrollment-start as soon as you are ready Saturdays @ Noon -5 weeks $130 |
SPECIALTY CLASSES

Leash Manners and Walking
-Does your dog pull on the leash or distracted by most anything? This class will teach you to know what to do in the face of unexpected distractions. Develop and practice the handling skills needed for walking in an environment with distractions. Build your dog’s focus and reliability in high distraction situations. Build confidence and skills that allow you to enjoy walks with your dog. Sundays 5pm 4 weeks $120 Starts 2/18 |
BEYOND THE BASICS
- A continuation of Basic Manners and Obedience Class, learning self control, manners and obedience, learning to add distance, duration and distractions, as well as real world situations. Dogs should know sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, look/watch me, lets go/loose leash walking before enrolling in the class. This is the next step towards Canine Good Citizen and preparing for off leash obedience. Class is limited to 4 dogs.
